Family Law Advice From An Experienced, Compassionate Lawyer

I know that divorce can be an extremely difficult time for everyone involved. I also know that a mediated divorce that considers the needs of both sides is much less difficult. Your well-managed divorce will reduce stress levels and can be achieved with less conflict and with fees that you control.

I have over forty years of experience in the field of divorce, divorce litigation and divorce mediation and I have helped many families through this complex process. I was the first attorney in Massachusetts to be certified as a divorce mediator and since then, I have mediated over 200 cases and personally handled over 500 divorce trials. I personally understand the impact of addictions on families and have been proud to help clients struggling with substance abuse problems.

Your fresh start can begin today. Call today and let me help you and your family begin on a new path.

Divorce Mediation

Divorce mediation is about resolving all of the issues a judge would decide, such as asset and debt division, property division, child custody, and support in an effective and respectful way. In mediation, you and your spouse meet with me, the mediator, and with my help, you work through the issues you need to resolve so the two of you can end your marriage as amicably and cost effectively as possible. It’s confidential and less stressful for everyone involved.

Guardian ad Litem

As a Guardian Ad Litem, the court would appoint me to investigate what solutions would be in the “best interests of a child.” In my role as Guardian Ad Litem, I will look into the family situation and advise the court on things like where the children should live most of the time, whether the child is being harmed by a parent’s substance abuse, or what contact the children should have with a parent.

Master's Proceedings

In most family law cases, the master system provides a good alternative to the court process. The master system allows litigants in domestic cases to get to court faster than if they had to wait for a judge. And, the exceptions process still allows you to have your case decided by a judge in case you don’t agree with the master’s decision. As the special master, I make sure that the court order is being followed, and report on the activities in a timely matter to the judge.

Thank you for mediating the divorce between myself and my husband of over three decades. It reduced the stress and turmoil on us, our children and our future grandchildren. We still are able to have a relationship with one another, thanks to the mediation process and you as the mediator.
